Daca nu ma insel, este prima data cand fac un astfel de articol pe blog. Va recunosc, imi place sa gatesc dar stau destul de prost cu timpul. Cand am timp, imi place sa ma bucur de experienta din bucatarie, dar de cele mai multe ori pregatesc ceva rapid sau aleg sa mananc un fruct, un iaurt si sa o iau din loc. Cu toate acestea, cel mai mult detest sa spal vasele si cel mai mare regret este ca nu am cumparat la momentul potrivit o masina de spalat vasele care acum nu mai are loc in bucatarie :))

Dar sa nu intram in detalii casnice si sa va povestesc despre experienta placuta avuta in urmatoarele 3 locatii:

1. Pio Bistro – Str Putul lui Zamfir nr 2

Un bistro urban deschis in Piata Dorobanti, Pio Bistro este cu siguranta unul din acele locuri unde va doriti sa ajungeti. Meniul nu este foarte mare, insa este complex si diversificat, care satisface toate gusturile culinare ( are si poze cu preparatele ♥).In plus, imi place ca au bucataria deschisa si totul se prepara la vedere. Cand a inceput sa fie introdus acest concept si la noi in tara, cumva imi era teama ca tot mirosul din bucatarie o sa invadeze localul, insa nu este cazul aici.

Am ajuns prima data la Pio Bistro invitata fiind la un eveniment unde aveam sa degustam cateva din preparatele lor si va spun sincer, mi-am dorit sa revin. Daca prima data, preparatul meu preferat a fost bibanul de mare, de data aceasta am incercat vita, care nu a dezamagit.

Dar sa nu credeti ca m-am abtinut de la desert ♥ Profiterol comes to save the day and to ruin my diet ♥ Dar bun a mai fost si nu regret nici macar o secunda.

In concluzie, pot spune ca un restaurant bun este acela unde iti doresti sa te intorci pentru a mai incerca ceva din meniu. Nu credeti?

2. Restaurant Diplomat – Sos. Bucuresti-Ploiesti nr 2B

Nu putine au fost evenimentele la care am participat in cadrul Clubului Diplomatic din Bucuresti. Fie ca au fost la piscina sau la restaurant, clubul este cu siguranta un loc in care iti doresti sa ajungi, indiferent de ocazie.

La restaurant am ajuns de mai multe ori, iar intr-una din dati am fost invitata la o nunta. Sincer, cred ca a fost printre cele mai bune meniuri pe care am avut ocazia sa le incerc la o nunta. This is something extra, in cazul in care aveti o nunta de organizat, la mine nu este cazul inca :)).

Locatia superba, preparatele delicioase si personalul super simpatic. Timpul de asteptare a fost perfect din punctul meu de vedere si ne-am bucurat sa stam pe terasa care are vedere directa catre parcul Herastrau si catre roata mare ♥ In plus, daca aveti noroc, puteti admira si persoanele care joaca golf, o parte din teren fiind chiar langa restaurant. Mereu m-a pasionat acest sport si mi-am dorit sa iau cateva lectii.

O singura recomandare am: Daca sunteti una dintre acele persoane ce atrag tantarii, sa va luati un Autan, pentru o experienta perfecta :))

Cand vine vorba de preparate, va spun, au fost delicioase! Stiu ca o sa sune putin superficial tinand cont de cum arata tot ce ne-am comandat ( vedeti in poze) insa cel mai mult mi-a placut aperitivul. Sa va explic: Eu nu mananc de fel branza si produse din lapte de capra si prin urmare, acest aperitiv a fost efectiv comandat de Iustin.

Pofticioasa fiind din fire, desi am pornit cu gandul ca nu o sa imi placa, am vrut sa gust putin, iar combinatia cu sfecla coapta, oh my!!!! Acum va imaginati surprinderea mea cand mi-am dat seama ca am pornit de la “Comanda pentru tine, eu nu mananc”, la “vrei sa imparti cu mine?” :))

Si inca o data imi spun “Never say Never”♥

3. Funky Lounge Herastrau – Parcul Herastrau, Intrarea Pescarus

Well, last but not least. Obisnuiam sa merg la Funky inca de pe vremea cand era “cool” sa iesi pe Decebal :)). Cumva, nu stiu cum si cand … au trecut anii si au deschis o noua locatie in Herastrau, care evident a devenit noua destinatie de iesit in oras. Inca de la inceput mi-a placut ideea de party pe zi si aproape in fiecare Sambata eram dancing queen pe lac.

Vara aceasta cum am fost destul de mult plecata la festivaluri, am mers mai putin Sambata si mai mult in orice alta zi, cand va spun drept, era pe chill :)). La ultima vizita, am avut putin ghinion: Nu era domnul pizzar pe pozitii si a trebuit sa imi comand o salata cu pui … Cu toate acestea, nu e motiv de panica, am echilibrat balanta caloriilor cu o portie delicioasa de clatiteeeee!!!

El, a mers pe vita si sa nu credeti ca a mancat-o singur :)) Mereu imi place sa gust din tot ce se comanda la masa daca arata apetisant. Nu cred ca a fost un preparat pe care sa il comand la Funky si sa nu imi placa, dar daca aveti ocazia, trebuie sa incercati si Pizza. Este nu doar buna, ci delicioasa! Cred ca am ramas cu gandul la ea :))

Last but not least, locatia va ofera si un apus de vis cu vedere direct catre lac si Casa Presei! So you kind of have it all: food, good vibes, sunset and good music.

So, as promised, today I will be telling you more about our 2 nights stay in Athens, Greece, which was a surprise trip made for my love’s B-day. Where we have stayed, how we got there and since it was just a matter of 2 days only holiday, what we decided to visit in order to make our stay wonderful.

So, first things first. I book a flight with Ryanair with 2 weeks before our departure. Be careful with your luggage: You can get 2 for free, but you’ll bring just the small one in the airplane. If you want to get both of them with you, there is a small tax that you should pay. For my own comfort, I decided to book priority with 2 cabin bags. I think it’s easier this way and you’ll have to pay around 30 euro extra for both flights. The flight was scheduled to leave at 13: 40, which was quite reasonable. No more morning wake up!

Ok, once we got in the Athens airport, we decided to go by the bus. The price of a ticket is 6 euro and the one that we took left us in Syntagma Square (was the closest station to our hotel). From this place we took Uber and the cost was around 4.5 euro. So a total of 16.5 euro to get from the airport to the hotel for two persons.

Very important!! There is no actual Uber in Greece. Even if the app is working, you cannot see the approximate price for your ride, mainly because they have the normal cabs ( Yellow ones) that will start the charging device once you get in and after you reach your destination, they will introduce the charged amount on the app. Don’t worry, you’ll still pay via Uber and the prices are really fair in the end.

For our 2 nights stay in Athens, I have picked Novotel Hotel. It is situated near the city center and the Uber ride was always around 5 euro from the hotel to the Acropolis, to the Monastiraki Square, to the Placa Square and so on.

Regarding this hotel, oh well… I had the chance to stay there, I think, 10 years ago and it was not like as I remembered. You should also check the other hotels available in the city center because I was not really satisfied with the price/quality ration.

And now, let’s talk a bit more about how we decided to plan our holiday during our stay.

       1. First day: We arrived at the hotel at 18 o’clock. We took a fast shower, change our flight clothing and went to the Acropolis. We got there somewhere between 18:30 and 19:00. Believe me, it’s the best hour to visit it during the summer because it’s almost the closing hour and most of the tourist visit it during the first part of the day. It was not as crowded as we expected and you can see this from the pictures I have took ♥

We took a small walk down to the Monastiraki Square, we bought some souvenirs and after that we stopped at a local tavern to have dinner. IMPORTANT: The restaurants are better in this area.

2. Second day: As you might guess, we started with the breakfast at the hotel and after that, we decided to go to the  Vouliagmeni Lake. Is 20 km away from the Novotel Hotel and we took Uber again to get there. The price per ride was around 20 euros and we got there in 30 min.

This place is truly amazing and I think you should include it in your must see places while in Athens. But remember to take your towels with you. I thought that they rent some and came unprepared. In the end we had to pay 17 euros per one towel, because as you can guess they don’t rent, but they sell them. I think I was not the only one and in the end because they can make quite a business out of this. The entrance price is 15 euros if I remember correctly and you can stay all day long.

In the same note, the food and drinks have a reasonable price there, but you can also check some good restaurants across the street.

– Once we got back in the city (around 18 o’clock) we took a well deserved nap and after that we went to Placa Square for dinner. WORST IDEA! The food was ok-ish, but in Monastiraki Square we ate better. Regardless of the food, the serving was horrible and the waiter seemed… quite bored with his job. This area is also good for shopping & souvenirs and it’s really active and full of tourists.

3. Third day. We decided to go back to Monastiraki to drink a coffee at A for Athens. It’s a hotel that has a roof bar with the most amazing view over the Acropolis. After that, we couldn’t resits and went back at the restaurant were we had ate on the first day and took a delicious seafood plate, tzatiki and some french fries, in order to remember Greece also for it’s food… haha. It was delicious.

-After our lunch, the adventure began. I was 100% sure that our flight was at 17:40 and that there is no rush for us to get to the airport. I couldn’t be more wrong because that was the landing hour. The flight was at 15:50 or something like this. You should have seen my face when I realized at 14 o’clock that we might loose our flight.

We took a cab, we arrived at the airport in 30′ and yes, we caught the flight. The taxi ride from the hotel to the airport was around 30 euro. The worst part of the journey was actually at the end.

Arriving at 18:00 at the airport in Bucharest, means that you’ll get the rush hour in traffic at its fullest. Our flight took one hour and 20′ from Athens to Buchares, but the same was the case from the airport to our home :(.

Nevertheless, it was a great experience and we enjoyed it a lot. You should also visit Greece!

Today I want to turn back to the holiday we had in Bali and share some new details with you from the time we spent there. I was a bit busy and didn’t quite manage to deal with all the things after our return as planed, but I think that is never too late to share great memories with you that can also inspire you for the next trip you might plan.

While we were in Bali, in Seminyak to be more specific, we decided to spend one day at the Hard Rock Hotel Pool which is actually situated in Kuta and we had to get there by cab, but it was like 15 min away. We did not went there just for the pool, because as you can guess this place is not just about rooms where you can sleep and a pool where to relax.

Because the day was a bit cloudy and it rained in the morning, we first enjoyed the Traditional Balinese massage for couples. Since we were together, I thought it will be a bit strange to enjoy the massage only one at the time, because the other one would have stayed alone. In this way for one hour, we actually slept together hahaha and we charged our batteries because right after we finished we realized that the sun came out and it became a perfect day for the pool.

And so, another day in paradise has started right after we changed in our swimming suits, we went for lunch at their pool restaurant called Splash. The food was amazing and it was nothing unexpected since I also enjoy the food at Hard Rock Cafe in Bucharest. Sure, there is a small difference between them and I guess is due to the location they are placed, but in the end their principle is the same.

What was left? To spend the half of the day in the private cabana pool, to swim and get some Balinese tan :D, to enjoy some snacks from the basket they brought us and relax hearing the ocean waves because the pool is situated right across the street from the beach.

You can say that is was a pity to go to the pool when you have the Indian Ocean across the street, but believe me it was not. I don’t know if it is like this all year round, but during this season, the ocean currents are really strong and when I say this I mean it. It is really hard to keep your balance when the waves come and go and it is basically impossible to swim even for me with more than 12 years of professional swimming. The only moment when I was brave enough to go deeper into the ocean was when I had my surf lessons, but I was basically on the board and I was pushed by the instructor :)). Otherwise, I went into the water at a no more than a hip level let’s say and even more, the swimming was actually forbidden and  were flags all over the beach.

So, I hope you will enjoy my little story and also piece of advice: you can enjoy the beach and the Indian Ocean but remember to be careful, the currents are really strong. And if you are into sports, do some surf too But if you want to swim, to relax and make some bubbles go to Hard Rock Hotel :)) ♥
